26th Annual Milton Plesur Graduate History Conference

March 31, 2017 - April 1, 2017

The Graduate History Association of the University at Buffalo will host its 26th Annual Conference with the theme “Changing Urban Landscapes: Shifts in Communities, Spaces and Identity.”

This year, we have invited historian Mauricio Tenorio, a professor from the University of Chicago, to give the keynote address. Specializing in the cultural and social history of Mexican urbanism, particularly of Mexico City, Dr. Tenorio will provide a talk entitled “History and the Megalopolis.” His recent book Latin America: The Allure and Power of an Idea will be published next month.

We are also excited to highlight the diversity of Buffalo by offering food from the Westside Bazaar, a small business incubator supporting immigrant, refugee, and low-income entrepreneurs on their path to becoming successful business owners.

To register, please e-mail GHAconference2017@buffalo.edu by March 10.
