Concentration: Modern Europe | Great Britain

MA History, University at Buffalo
BS History & Philosophy, SUNY Oneonta

I grew up in the Adirondacks in Glens Falls, NY. I came to UB as a Master’s student after several years at SUNY Oneonta, where I majored in both History and Philosophy. My research at UB has been more history than philosophy. For my Master’s Thesis I investigated late-Chartism in Great Britain and its larger involvement in the Revolutions of 1848. I looked at the disconnect between the response of the British government on April 10, 1848 and the peaceful petition of the Charter and the general Chartist movement in 1848. As a PhD student I plan to research nineteenth-century British domesticity and masculinity. Where my work will take me time will tell, as I have to hone in on my research interests in the coming years. For more please see
