My research focuses on American feminist activists of the Progressive Era and their interactions with medical practitioners. I am interested in how women used medical language to make arguments to further their cause and whether they influenced medical practitioners and researchers. My interest in history stems from my studies in feminist, gender, and critical race theories; I want to research how ideas about race, gender, and sexuality changed over time and what social forces influenced these changes.
