Biological Sciences Symposium

The graduate students of the Biological Sciences Department present their research to their peers in the department and other departments who wish to and are encouraged to attend.  The event consists of poster sessions, lecture sessions, a keynote talk given by an outside researcher (Dr. Rowen Sage) and a reception and dinner for the speaker.  Dr. Rowen Sage, Professor of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at University of Toronto, is a leading and distinguished researcher in photosynthesis research.  He will be presenting a keynote talk on the current state and future of photosynthesis research as it is related to crop productivity and biofuels.  Dr. Rowen Sage is a distinguished researcher in the field of photosynthesis.  The symposium will consist of scheduled graduate student talks, graduate student poster sessions, the keynote talk as well as breakfast, lunch, award/dinner reception and dinner with the speaker.
