GISA’s Garba Night
October 13, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - 11:30 pm$3 – $7
Dear members of the Graduate Student Association,
Hello! We are the Graduate Indian Student Association, and we would like to invite you and the entire GSA community to the annual ‘Garba night’. Garba is a folk dance that originated in the state of Gujarat, but in the current century has found its way to be a part of every major celebratory event across India. We wish to recreate the same magical night here in Buffalo. Imagine Line dancing. But the line is a circle. And the circle is big. And the people dancing are dressed in magnificent, colourful traditional dresses!
We hope to see you at our event:
When? October 13th, 2018,
Where? Hindu Cultural Society, 1595 North French Rd,
Time? 8 PM to midnight.
The tickets for the event go on sale Monday, 8th of October, available at the SBI ticket offices. Tickets are 3$ for members, 7$ for non-members who are UB students, and 13$ for folks who are not students but are still interested in spinning round and round in circles!!
There will be delicious food courtesy of Hyderabadi Biryani House (food not included in the tickets sale).
