Restorative Justice Day

April 29, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Free

Restorative Justice Day is an educational forum providing insight into how communities, victims, and offenders can come together to repair harm that may have occurred. In stark contrast to retributive systems at hand, Restorative Justice provides a voice and platform for those that have inflicted or have been impacted by harm to come together to create just solutions.

Results from Restorative Justice practices have led to decreased recidivism rates and community members and victims feeling safer and more connected to their communities.

Come hear guest speakers, learn facilitation strategies, and see how Restorative Justice is being utilized at our university and throughout Buffalo. As university students, we are uniquely positioned to be the next implementers of Restorative Justice practices in creating a more just, connected, and safer Buffalo for all. Come be a part of this growing movement and learn how you can be involved at our university and throughout the Buffalo community!
