Dissertation:  “Building a Godly World: The Efforts to Create a Puritan Atlantic  in the Early Seventeenth Century.”

My general interests lie in the religious history of the English North American colonies during the seventeenth century. During my time at the University at Buffalo my perspective has shifted towards the Atlantic as well. My dissertation research focuses on the relationships among and between Puritans throughout the English Atlantic, with a particular focus on the nature of coordination and cooperation among them in their effort to reform England’s religious landscape.
